HOTROD SHOP started 15 years old when my old man bought me a ’55 Chevy coupe with a 4-speed and a pretty nasty small block. You know the goods – white pearl paint, straight axle, 5-spokes, slicks, and open headers. I’d wait for my folks to go off to work and then I’d take it out on the farm road not far from the house just to hear the cam come on and practice my power shifts.
